Wallhangings
Traditionally, tapestry has been the medium of choice for wall hangings, but tufting offers a more contemporary form of expression — it's like painting with wool. The technique allows for a rich variety of textures and depths, and enables the creation of large-scale works with a fluidity and spontaneity that tapestry rarely allows.
In many of my pieces, I incorporate found objects and shear into the wool to reveal varying layers and surfaces, giving each work a unique tactile dimension. Every design is original and made from high-quality Axminster wool, chosen for its durability, warmth, and luxurious texture.
Beyond being striking statement pieces, these wall hangings also offer a practical benefit — natural insulation — bringing both visual and physical warmth into a space.
